Next month’s 14th annual Juneteenth Atlanta Parade and Music Festival will coincide with Father’s Day and FIFA World Cup matches in the city, amping up the weekend excitement.
Presented by the non-profit group, Juneteenth Atlanta, the lively three-day festival will celebrate freedom, equality and human rights.
Live music will fill the stages and streets. There will be sports activities for all ages, including boxing, wrestling, football and the annual 5K Freedom Run. It is held in honor of all who fought and continue to work toward freedom and human rights for all. Participants will receive a race shirt and finishers will receive a medal.
Highlighting the weekend celebrations will be the annual World Freedom Day Parade, including floats and marching bands, dancers, community groups and jets flying overhead. The parade will be followed by a special recognition of Father’s Day, including the well-known Juneteenth car and motorcycle show. Visitors can also enjoy local and international vendors offering merchandise and food.
Juneteenth organizers are preparing for an extra special celebration as thousands of additional visitors will be in the city for two 2026 FIFA World Cup matches over the weekend.

Juneteenth activities in Atlanta will be celebrated June 19 to 21, 2026 in Piedmont Park. The annual parade will be held on June 20, 2026, beginning at 10 am.
