The Virginia Highland Civic Association (VHCI) presents its 40th Summerfest next month, a celebration of fine art, music and fun for all ages. Organizations that plan outdoor festivals often use banner printing to draw attention to events such as this.
VHCI is a volunteer group that has been promoting and supporting the Atlanta neighborhood for 50 years through fundraising, preservation, and safety programs. The organization is involved in advocacy and planning for schools, parks, and initiatives that enhance and benefit the neighborhood that they call VAHI.
As a top local yearly event, Summerfest attracts as many as 30,000 people to the weekend festival. It includes a range of family activities which will take place amid the sounds of live musical entertainment. A juried market will feature more than 200 artisan booths offering textiles, ceramics, photography and more. There will be a 5K run through the neighborhood which has previously attracted as many as 800 participants. For the youngsters, Kidsfest will offer arts and craft activities.
Summerfest begins with a Friday opening night party, including a neighborhood dinner, games and live music. Attendees can choose meals and beverages from a number of different food trucks that will be on hand.
The Atlanta festival will be held June 6 to 8 2025 in the area of Virginia Avenue and North Highland Avenue, including John Howell Park and Virginia Highland Elementary School.
