Atlanta school to host family meet and greet

Atlanta’s Briar Vista Elementary will be rolling out the red carpet as it welcomes a selection of the city’s mobile eateries.

The school will be hosting “Food Trucks With Friends,” which will give families with children who attend classes together a chance to get to know one another. It is free to participate, and the entire community is invited to stop by and show support to the school.

While parents, guardians, staff, and community members mix and mingle, the kids can enjoy the fun that is in the works for them. Everyone can choose their favorites from the food truck Menus, and a selection of locally based vendors will be on site as well. The crowd can do some browsing and buying, and the Briar Visit faculty hope it will be the start of a great school year. Its release explained that it may be especially attractive to those who are new to the neighborhood or have kids in pre-kindergarten or kindergarten.
