Tampa to enjoy showdown of legendary bands

A performance in Tampa is putting a duo of iconic Catalogs together in mid-March.

Beatles vs. Stones (BvS) is a show featuring tribute bands emulating two of the biggest acts of all time. Representing The Beatles is Abbey Road, while the music of The Rolling Stones is played by Satisfaction - The International Rolling Stones Show.

The experience operates as a touring event, while also taking up residencies. Before the latest trip, BvS spent a combined five months at two venues. While the title implies a contest and a winner, the show is more focused on the music, a good time, and honoring two huge bands with long-lasting impact.

Tunes the acts may perform span decades. Popular pieces by both groups include “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,” “Here Comes The Sun,” “Paint It, Black,” “Come Together,” “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” and “Let It Be.”

Tickets are sold both at the website for the venue (The Ritz Ybor) and the Beatles vs. Stones site. Pricing comes in three options; there are general admission passes for $30, day-of tickets for $35, and seats in the balcony section for $50.

Concerts often include the sale of merchandise in addition to the music, often with a graphic design printed onto them, along with the Logo Design of the show or performers.

Doors will be opening 90 minutes prior to the show, which starts off at 7:30 pm on Sunday, March 17.
