Tampa event to highlight popular dish

A festival celebrating a well-loved Mexican food will be taking place in Tampa in late February.

Tampa Taco Fest is an all-ages event where various sponsors and vendors sell drinks, tacos, and other related items. The festival also displays other elements of Mexican culture, along with some non-food products being available for sale from local crafters.

In the past, some of the products have included hats, coffee, hot sauces, churros, cotton candy, and salsas. A margarita bar is also present for those aged 21 and older. Local businesses will be present, with some no doubt using brochure printing in order to have information about their practices available to guests.

There is also live entertainment in the form of music from Mariachi Guadalupe and Mixed Signal. In addition, other cultural exhibitions will occur. Dogs are welcome at the Al Lopez Park.

While it is not required of attendees, wearing masks is highly encouraged. The event is mostly cash only, and ATMs will be on site for convenience.

VIP tickets, priced at $50, get buyers a separate seating area, entrance, and bathrooms, along with a few alcoholic drinks, two pork or chicken tacos, salsa, chips, and an exclusive bar. Regular tickets will cost $5 prior to the festival, and $10 at the door. Doors will open at 10:00 am on February 26, with the festival lasting until 6:00 pm.
