A legendary act will be making his way to Tampa to kick off his latest tour in early February, along with his band.
Bruce Springsteen formed his famous “E Street Band” in the later years of the 1960s, Springsteen has gone on to bring both himself and the group to stardom with hits like “Dancing in the Dark,” “Streets of Philadelphia,” and “Born to Run” in the decades since. Two of the original members, Danny Federici and Clarence Clemons, passed away in 2008 and 2011 respectively. Current musicians in the band include Springsteen, Nils Lofgren, Stevie Van Zandt, Roy Bittan, Patti Scialfa, Gary Tallent, and Max Weinberg.
Springsteen and the group were inducted as members of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999 and 2014. In addition, Springsteen also has an Oscar, a Special Tony Award, a Kennedy Center Honor, and 20 Grammy Awards. In 2016, the then President Barack Obama gave him the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The pair later hosted the podcast entitled “Renegades: Born in the USA” together. Springsteen also released his book “Born to Run” alongside an album, “Chapter and Verse,” in 2016.
The 2023 World Tour will be starting up at the Amalie Arena. Tickets, at the time of writing, are available for purchase through Ticketmaster, ranging from $266 to $5,369 in cost.
