A popular band will be bringing their hit-making sound to fans in early March.
Cheap Trick is a group consisting of Robin Zander, Rick Nielsen, Bun E. Carlos, and Tom Petersson. Former members include Robert “Stewkey” Antoni, Thom Mooney, and Randy “Xeno” Hogan.
Releasing their first record in 1977, the band started out as a supporting act in shows for big names like Queen, Kiss, and Journey. The sophomore album, titled “In Color,” gave the group the push they needed to become the name they are today. That record alone has three of their biggest hits – “Clock Strikes Ten,” “Hello There,” and “I Want You To Want Me.” Since then Cheap Trick has continued to put out music and tour, earning a spot in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
The local show will be taking place at the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Event Center. At the time of writing, only platinum and VIP tickets are currently available through Ticketmaster, range in costs from $168 to $288. Those who choose to buy the VIP bundle will be gifted with several items, including a reserved seat at the concert, a laminate with the band’s Logo Design, a drumhead, a lighter, a patch themed to Dream Police, and a set of dice. Video and audio recording are prohibited, and the show is restricted to people aged at least 21.
The event is scheduled to kick off at 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 7.
