Legendary pop star to appear in Tampa

An iconic woman with a career lasting several decades is bringing her current tour through Tampa in early April.

Madonna rose to astronomical heights in the 1980s, with her artistry often being bold and controversial. Her career has continually expanded, with one of her most prominent roles as an actress being the film take on “Evita,” a popular musical created by Andrew Lloyd Webber. She has worked on Books and documentaries, spent time as a dancer in Paris, and even performed for the halftime show of Super Bowl XLVI. She is a decorated artist with a number of major awards to her name, including Grammy Awards, Golden Globes, and an Academy Award/Oscar.

The Michigan-born singer’s catalog features songs like “Vogue,” “Material Girl,” “Holiday,” “Express Yourself,” “Hung Up,” and “Human Nature.”

The Celebration Tour includes music from across Madonna’s discography. Available tickets have resale costs attached, meaning they may be higher than the initial price. The range is $201 to $10,224 via Ticketmaster on the date of writing. Frequently, several areas in a concert venue will have merchandise from the featured artist for sale, and many pieces will feature a graphic design or other logo associated with the artist.

The performance has a starting time of 8:30 pm listed. The Amalie Arena is hosting the event on Thursday, April 4.
