Legendary band headed to Tampa

A group known for a multitude of hit songs will be bringing their tour to Tampa in late April.

Journey was founded by Neal Schon in 1972, and has gone through many line-up changes since. Some former members include Aynsley Dunbar, Steve Perry, Steve Smith, Robert Fleischman, Steve Augeri, and Randy Jackson.

Schlon has been with the band since day one, however, and is currently joined by Deen Castronovo, Ross Valory, Johnathan Cain, and Arnel Pineda. A few songs the band is known for include “Don’t Stop Believin’”, “Stone In Love”, and “Who’s Crying Now”. Their countless accolades include a Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star.

The Freedom Tour is the latest venture by the group. There will also be another band joining them for the Tampa show – the men known for the hit “Africa”, Toto. Tickets range from $72 to $1,825. There are several VIP packages available as well, which start at $305 and go up to $1,638. There will be a few merchandise items featuring an artist-related graphic design included in some of the bundles. Full details can be found through the website for West Palm Beach.

The venue is the Amalie Arena. Wearing a mask is encouraged while inside. Attendees will be responsible for checking on updates to the policy for Covid-19, as it may change closer to the concert. The show will kick off at 7:30 pm on April 20.
