BurgerFi to open a store in Tampa

It was confirmed late last month that BurgerFi will soon be opening its first Tampa location, on South Howard Avenue.

BurgerFi is going into the bottom floor of the Post SoHo Square apartment building. The new burger restaurant will be adjacent to Ava, another new restaurant planned for the complex. Although no opening date has been announced as yet, building permits were recently filed.

BurgerFi has more than 60 stores throughout the nation, and is headquartered in North Palm Beach. The nearest location already in operation is in Winter Park, but several more are planned throughout the state.

A fast-casual restaurant, it aims to offer a more extensive menu than traditional fast-food restaurants. As in most such places, customers “design” their burgers by specifying the ingredients they want. BurgerFi's “signature” hamburger is the Double Natural Angus Burger, which comes with tomato, lettuce, and a special BurgerFi sauce. Another favorite is the Breakfast All Day hamburger, which comes with cheese, bacon with maple syrup, grilled onions, hash browns, and ketchup.

Store operators could work with a flyer printing company to create handouts to distribute near the location just prior to the opening. If they include a coupon on the flyer, they could increase their business. They could also work with a banner printing company to create a promotional item announcing the opening.
