Sunrise library to hold concert focused on United States

The Sunrise Dan Pearl Branch of the Broward County Library will hold a program in May with live music.

Listen to America!: Music From the American Landscape is a library event where people can hear songs about the United States. The show will be performed by Emily Kennedy and Patrice Risi. Guests will get to hear the duo play American classics on the trumpet and piano. There is no age limit for people to attend the event. The concert will be held at the Sunrise Dan Pearl Branch’s meeting room.

Emily Kennedy is a talented trumpet player from South Florida whose mission is to play music that inspires. Kennedy went to school at Nova Southeastern University and was a recipient of a Broward County Cultural Division Emerging Artist Grant. She has performed at many venues throughout Florida, including the Swaying Palms Community Center, Lauderhill Central Park Library, and the Walter C. Young Resource Center.

The live show on American music will be held on Friday, May 15th, from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. The library’s event is free to all guests. Seating is limited for the event, so guests are required to register for the concert in advance. Libraries that hold similar musical programs to this can promote their shows to patrons through ads made with poster printing services.
