Sunrise gallery to hold art opening reception

The Sunrise Civic Center Art Gallery will debut an art exhibit by Dominik Ambroise in August.

We Walk Apart, We Move As One is a collection of art made by the Haitian artist Dominik Ambroise that explores heritage, identity, and collective rhythm. The pieces in the exhibit are large-scale abstract creations made from layers of acrylic paints and textiles. The materials used in the collection are a reference to the history of Caribbean life. Ambroise was inspired by Haitian music and dance traditions when creating the artwork.

Dominik Ambroise is a professional artist based in Miami, Florida who was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She trained as an artist at educational facilities like the Pérez Art Museum Miami and Miami Dade College. Ambroise has participated in many notable events throughout her career, including the Picecrest Gardens Art & Design Fair, the Downtown Delray Beach Festival of the Arts, and the Somi Art Fest. She can also be hired to make commissions for people.

The debut of Ambroise’s art collection will be held on Friday, August 7 at 6:00 pm. People will be able to view the exhibit at the Sunrise Civic Center Art Gallery until Saturday, September 12. There is no cost to check out the art, and light refreshments will be served to attendees. Museums that hold opening receptions like this may use flyer printing to promote their artists and events to more consumers.
