Sunrise will hold a family-friendly cultural experience at the City Park in November with a special gift for the town’s residents.
The City of Sunrise Cultural Festival is an event where families can celebrate diversity and enjoy many kid-friendly activities. The celebration will feature many live music and dance performances, and there will be several types of cuisine served at the event. There will even be vendors selling unique retail items. Those who are interested in performing at the cultural celebration can sign up for free. The performers at the fest will not be compensated for their participation.
Sunrise residents who attend the Cultural Festival will receive a free fruit tree to bring home. Attendees will choose between a mango tree, star apple tree, and soursop tree. The gift is part of the Sunrise Utilities Good and Green initiative, which is a program that promotes environmentally friendly activities such as saving energy, reducing waste, and cleaning local streets. Those who want a complimentary tree must bring a Florida Driver’s License or State ID card.
The cultural event will be held on Saturday, November 7th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There is no entry cost for people to attend the fest and see the live performances. Attendees are also not required to register for the festival in advance.
