Orlando opens new parks and tennis courts

There will be an Open House and ribbon cutting ceremony for the new City of Orlando Tennis Centre and The Grove.

Promotion of such events and new amenities in a community is often made possible with poster printing.

The new City of Orlando Tennis Centre is in The Packing District and is a state-of-the-art facility offering an updated clubhouse and the latest in technology. It has 17 illuminated tennis courts, 11 of which are clay courts while the other six are hard courts. Of the six hard courts, two can accommodate four pickleball games with the appropriate striping. The facility also features a building spanning 4,000 square feet that includes meeting space, locker rooms, a pro-shop, a practice wall, a maintenance section, and other amenities.

The building was designed with sustainability as a goal. It replaces the original facility that opened in 1992.

The Grove is the newest park in the city and covers 66 acres. Among its features are trails for walking and biking, preserved wetlands, and a regional stormwater pond. There is also a large outdoor pavilion and green space for people to bring blankets and lawn chairs for performances and picnics. Dr. Phillips Charities donated the land to the city as part of the development of The Packing District.

The Open House and ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 31.
