To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs is collaborating with the Hispanic Heritage Network of Orange County (HHNOC) on a special exhibit at the Orange County Administration Center in Orlando.
This is an annual exhibit that features the works of international and local artists, and highlights the diversity, richness, and cultural contributions of those communities that are Hispanic with storytelling of a visual nature.
The theme of the exhibit is “Together, We Are More”, or in Spanish “Unidos, Somos Más.” Artists in this exhibit explore the identity, resilience, strength, and shared experiences that create connections in the community. Visitors will see original works of art that tell stories of family, tradition, heritage, and the many ways that communities are brought together by culture. Poster printing can be used to promote such exhibits throughout a city.
For many years, the Hispanic Heritage Month Art Exhibit has turned the Atrium into a vibrant celebration of connection and creativity. It showcases powerful works inspired by historic figures, traditions, cultural icons, and personal stories that range from tributes to legends like Celia Cruz and Frida Kahlo to reflections of Mexican, Colombian, Puerto Rican, and other Hispanic heritages.
This exhibit is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and will run from Friday September 4 through Thursday October 22. There is no charge for admission to the exhibit.
