Burger chain to open in Orlando

A new location of Whataburger will be coming to Orlando.

The fast-food chain, based in Texas, is looking to open a restaurant in the Waterford Lakes area. It will be on in the Town Park Shopping Center on E. Colonial Drive near the University of Florida and Alafaya Commons. Aussie Grill by Outback previously occupied the space that Whataburger will be occupying.

The new eatery will span 2,554 square feet and have a drive-through window. The interior will include a dining area that can seat 48 people.

Banner printing is often used at such to inform residents of such establishments coming to a city.

Whataburger was founded in 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas and now has over 1,000 locations in 17 states. It is known for its distinct color scheme of orange and white, breakfast served all day, its menu if customizable hamburgers, and being open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are currently 50 Whataburger restaurants in Florida, mostly in the Panhandle and the Jacksonville area.

Whataburger has also rolled out new affordable menu items for this year. There is the $ Big Ranch Wrap which is a warm tortilla with chicken for $3.00; the Whatachick’n Bites of five chicken pieces for $4.00; and the Bacon and Cheese Whataburger Jr. for $5.00.

The chain has not provided any further details about the opening of this location.
