Fireworks at the Fountain will be hosted by the city of Orlando in July. This will be an historic edition of the event as the country marks its 250th anniversary.
Festivities will begin at 4:00 p.m. with a play zone dedicated to children, live music, and a top-notch selection of food and beverages from local vendors. At 9:10 p.m. there will be a spectacular of monumental fireworks that will be synchronized to a live performance by the Orlando Concert Band.
People can park in garages and surface lots in the downtown area. Those who park in a location other than the Library Garage on Central Boulevard are enc encouraged to take the rapid bus transit system to the event. Attendees are also encouraged to find alternate methods of transportation such as bicycles, carpooling, and ride share services.
Certain roads will be closed in the downtown area, so people need to make themselves aware of such closures. Local Print shops often assist in spreading the word about such road closures to the community with mailers, Flyers, and other printed materials.
The event is free and people are encouraged to bring coolers, umbrellas should the need arise, picnic blankets, beach towels, and chairs. Well-behaved and leashed pets are welcome.
Fireworks at the Fountain will be at Lake Eola Park on East Washington Street in Orlando on Saturday July 4 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m.
