A partnership expansion investment of $5 million will be made by Darden Restaurants Inc. Foundation and the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando to start a state-of-the-art student success center designed to streamline pathways to graduation and cultivate workforce talent that is ready for the future.
UCF is looking to address the challenges many face leading to graduation with the help of Darden Restaurants Foundation. This student success center will be on the main campus of UCF with Howard Phillips Hall and will be the home for an environment that integrates mental health resources, academic navigation, food security programs, enrollment, and financial aid.
The investment will establish the Darden Restaurants Foundation Student Success Fund. Four essential pillars of the partnership will be supported. These are funding emergency assistance and food security programs; providing individualized coaching for academic success with wrap-around care; implementing the next-generation student support system of UCF, which is a holistic and personalized framework designed to empower students; and transforming Howard Phillips Hall into a modern hub for student success.
Such new centers can benefit from brochure printing to provide more details on their services and promote their key pillars to students, faculty, and community partners.
Alexander N. Cartwright, president of UCF, said that this partnership will help more students to persist, graduate, and find careers that are meaningful for them and will strengthen the economy of the state and increase opportunities for many more in the future.
