The Timucua Arts Foundation on S. Summerlin Avenue in Orlando will be hosting “Shorts from the Shoebox” by Lightup Shoebox next month.
This presentation will have 20 objects on the stage, with each of the objects representing a short play. There will be a timer of 60 minutes, and once the host starts the time, members of the audience will shout out which object they want. The object is chosen by the host, and the corresponding play will be performed.
When the play has concluded, the host will ask for the next object. This process will continue until all 20 plays are performed, or the timer of 60 minutes runs out.
Poster printing is often used by such organizations to promote such unique events throughout the community.
The Timucua Arts Foundation is a multi-faceted education and arts institution that presents festivals, events, and concerts in its unique and intimate venue, which is a living room that seats 100 people.
This event will be streamed live and in person. Tickets are $20 each. Veterans, seniors, frontline workers, teachers, students, and members of the Foundation can purchase discounted tickets. Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-alcoholic drink or bottle of wine to share.
“Shorts from the Shoebox” will be performed on stage on Saturday, March 9, from 2:00pm util 3:30pm.
