Ocoee lays plans for pickleball complex

Pickleball is one of the hottest recreational trends across the United States, and the city of Ocoee has recently approved plans for a large, new recreational complex centered on the popular sport.

The City Commission approved preliminary plans for the Ocoee Pickleball Complex during a September meeting. The details for the proposed facility not only include provision for 25 courts but also three main buildings. Banner printing and other graphic design products are useful in promoting opening events for new facilities.

The complex will cover a little over six acres of ground and is slated for a location on Jacob Nathan Boulevard. Building 1 will enclose 15 pickleball courts, a gaming area, a restaurant, and club amenities. Building 2 will house an additional 10 indoor courts, as well as a social area with seating with sun sails. Building 3 will be a two-story banquet hall. Lastly, the complex will feature a parking lot with 172 spaces. The site plan was designed by Vasant Sports, LLC.

Next steps include addressing the engineering and utility requirements for the installation. City leaders hope that the new offering will make Ocoee even more attractive to visitors.

Pickleball is a fast-paced game played with paddles and a perforated ball on a small court. It requires quick reflexes and can be played by all ages and skill levels.
