What's Happening in Ocoee, FL…

Ocoee breaks ground on gigantic sports complex

Local visionaries will soon begin construction on a new state-of-the-art youth sports development for Ocoee, a new offering that's viewed as transformational for the area.

Montierre Development will soon begin work on The Dynasty Ocoee, a sprawling, 159-acre youth sports and entertainment complex. It is located near the southeast corner of Fullers Cross Road and Ocoee-Apopka Road and consists of previously undeveloped land.

The Dynasty was conceptualized as a walkable campus with an all-in-one approach. Developers plan both indoor and outdoor sports venues, shopping, restaurants, and lodging offerings. Plans also involve a 150,000-square-foot indoor sports facility equipped with advanced simulation technology, as well as health data-tracking workout equipment. Seventeen multipurpose fields are included, supporting baseball, football, soccer, lacrosse, and track and field. Business openings may be highlighted by banner printing or other services from print shops.

Montierre President Anne-Marie Douglas stated:

“We’re building fields and courts that will craft memories, shape futures, and redefine what it means to experience sports as a family.”

When local leaders began brainstorming the project in 2021, discussion went well beyond the need to provide local youth healthy activities but also to take advantage of Florida’s tourism industry. The Dynasty is set to capitalize on a $2 trillion global sports tourism market that’s expected to continue growing. The complex is expected to cost around $1 billion to develop and should create about 5,000 jobs, with a $1.2 billion annual impact on the local economy.
