Ocoee heritage council to promote Asian culture

The Asian American Heritage Council will organize a festival at the Ocoee Lakeshore Center in May.

The Asian Cultural Festival is a community event that will showcase several Asian traditions through traditional dishes and performances. Many Asian American ethnic groups will be represented at the festival, including cultures from India, China, and Korea. Vendors interested in attending the fest can pay $250 for an indoor space. Nonprofit groups and crafters can buy booth spaces for $100. Businesses may also rent tables and chairs at the venue for $25.

The Asian American Heritage Council is an organization that aims to preserve Asian culture through community programs and honor local leaders who enhance the quality of life of Asian Americans. The group also recognizes and rewards students for their community service and educational achievements. The organization was created in 1980, and the first Asian festival that was organized by the council was at Lake Eola Park in Orlando.

The Asian Cultural Festival will be on Sunday, May 17th, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There is no cost to enter the fest, and attendees are allowed to reserve their spots in advance. Companies that want to support the event can purchase sponsorships that cost between $1,000 and $5,000. Organizations that have sponsored events like this may use banner printing services to make displays that promote their supporters to attendees.
