October is the month for changing colors, cooler temperatures, and kids with orange buckets. To celebrate the day most associated with Halloween, the city of Ocoee is sponsoring a fun night out for children and parents alike.
The Ocoee Department of Parks and Recreation is sponsoring Halloween Howl Night just before the holiday. The night will include various activities related to the holiday, including a spooky glow hunt, a costume contest, and games. Several artisans will be available with handmade goods for purchase, and food trucks will be available as well. The evening will include a Scarecrow Contest, in which businesses and individuals display their most creative scarecrow creations. Poster printing and other Graphic Design Services are often used to promote public events.
A Trunk or Treat contest is also part of the evening’s fun. Participants can enter the contest by decorating their car trunk in Halloween colors and themes, and judges will select the spookiest trunk. Only 30 vehicles will be allowed to enter, so those interested should call the Parks and Recreation office for registration.
Halloween Howl Night will be held Friday, October 24th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The location is Bill Breeze Park, located at 125 North Lakeshore Drive in Ocoee. Admission is free.
