Nine day celebration to be held in New Port Richey

New Port Richey will be hosting Chasco Fiesta in Sims Park next month.

This is a celebration that takes place every year over a period of nine days, with activities during the day and musical performances at night. The theme of this year’s event is “Cinema and Symphony: 100 Years of Music in Movies.”

Among the activities of Chasco Fiesta are a street parade, organized by the Rotary Club of Holiday and sponsored by Meares Plumbing & Electrical; a boat parade on the Pithlachascotee River and presented by Flagship Bank; and the Chasco Fiesta Car, Truck and Bike Show, featuring over 350 classic cars, and organized by Gulfside Corvette.

Additional activities will include a 5K run, a Coronation Ball for King Pithla and Queen Chasco, a carnival, a golf tournament, and a bowling tournament. There will also be vendors on hand offering a wide variety of cuisines.

Musical performances will span many genres and include country, Latin, rock, blues, bluegrass, and Native American concerts.

Such unique events often turn to poster printing for promotional purposes.

Chasco Fiesta was founded 103 years ago as a fundraiser for a local library and is now a non-profit organization that benefits other non-profit organizations in the local community by providing the means for their own fundraising.

Chasco Fiesta will take place from Friday, March 28 through Saturday, April 5.
