New Port Richey to host biker festival

The Cotee River Bike Fest will be coming to New Port Richey this weekend.

The event will kick off as bikers and enthusiasts gather in the downtown for a weekend of brews, bands, and bikers. The shops downtown will feature one-of-a-kind and hidden treasures, while the streets will be filled with tasty treats and beverages. The highlight of the festival will be the live music on multiple stages downtown and in the parks.

Bands will fuel the energy of the event and provide the background for the many bikes lining the streets, and the large bike show. Bands scheduled to perform at the event will include The Bearded Brothers, Supply Chain, Scream Machine, Social Fabric, and Plush Velvet. Additional special activities will include a French Toast Breakfast hosted by the HOG Chapter and a bike wash with the Hooters girls.

Sponsors of the event include Richey Suncoast Theatre, Steve’s Construction, Community Florist, and Team Farrell. This is a charity event that will benefit Children's Burn Victim Camp, with all proceeds going directly to the camp. Poster printing is often employed to promote such singular events and their fundraising efforts throughout a city and surrounding communities.

The Cotee River Bike Fest will take place at Sims Park, Grand Boulevard, and Bank Street in New Port Richey from Friday, January 17 through Sunday, January 19.
