Mental health clinic opens in New Port Ritchey area

A new clinic of Caliper Wellness is now open on State Road 52 in Hudson.

The practice focuses on meeting the needs of the community with an integrated physical and mental health approach. Many residents of nearby New Port Ritchey will no doubt want to take advantage of the services offered by the new practice.

Caliper Wellness will provide mental health services to underserved individuals. Other services offered will include treating general mental health disorders, testosterone replacement therapy, and weight management. Services will be provided through telemedicine and in person. Brochure printing is often employed by such new practices to provide more details about their services and expertise.

The clinic is owned by Andrew Hewitt, a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and his wife Jennifer, who is a registered nurse. Andrew decided to enter the field of healthcare after working in construction and became a registered nurse, then a psychiatric nurse practitioner after earning his master’s degree. He founded Caliper Wellness in 2022 to treat physical and psychological health while also making it affordable and accessible, following his experience of the gap in providers of healthcare able to assess and treat both a patient’s mental and physical wellbeing.

Insurance is accepted at Caliper Wellness for selected services. Caliper offers primary family care in Maryland and Florida and telemedicine for mental health issues in Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York.
