The International City/County Management Association (ICMA) has recognized Debbie L. Manns, city manager of New Port Richey, as a Credentialed Manager.
News of such a significant recognition is often made known throughout a community with banner printing.
This designation means that Manns is to become one of around 1,300 local government management professionals who are credentialed through this program, which is voluntary.
An evaluation is carried out by the Credentialing Advisory Board of the ICMA to determine eligibility for the recognition. The Board considers the educational background of the person, their tenure as a senior management executive in local government, their dedication to continuous professional development and learning, and a demonstrated commitment to maintaining high ethical standards.
Mann has had a great deal of experience, education, and a proven track record of success as a leader in government. Her experience in the public sector spans 35 years, of which 10 have been for the city of New Port Richey.
Manns expressed her honor to be recognized by the ICMA as a Credential Manager. She said that it is important to her success as a city manager to continually learn and improve. She added her gratitude to be recognized by an organization that promotes this perspective, and said that being a Credentialed Manager by the ICMA not only acknowledges her past achievements, but reflects her aspirations for the future as well.
