The Tides of Time is a new art expo that is now open in the historical district of New Prot Richey. It will be a permanent art display that will showcase the unique characteristic of the city over the past 100 years and the landmarks which have shaped it.
Gillian Harper is the sculptor of this new display of art. She said she carried out a great deal of research to learn more about the city. Her sculptures will be able to be seen at various buildings throughout the downtown area, each designed with a special meaning.
Viewers can use their smartphones to scan a QR code which is underneath each piece of artwork so that they can have a unique audio about the sculpture and more information about the building which accompanies it.
Brochure printing can be used as well to provide more details about such sculptures and their design process.
The project manager behind the experience, Beth Fregger, said that the goal was to find a way to honor the city for its 100th anniversary which runs from 2024 to 2025. She added that this would be one way to attract visitors to the city for this special celebration as well as to bring more people to the downtown area and those who are not part of the core community, such as those around Tampa Bay and even others from around the country.
