Soccer tournament offers networking opportunities

A soccer tournament will bring together professionals from design and construction-related fields for a day of friendly competition and networking in the Miramar area.

The tournament is hosted by AIA Miami, AIA Fort Lauderdale, and FLDCP chapters. With 20 teams competing, the tournament will feature contractors, architects, engineers, and vendors. Throughout the day, players and sponsors will have the opportunity to engage with attendees from AIA Miami, AIA Fort Lauderdale, and FLDCP, strengthening both new and existing professional connections.

At the conclusion of the tournament, an award ceremony will recognize the top three teams, the player who scores the most goals, and the best goalkeeper. To qualify for team pricing, an AIA team must include at least five players who are current AIA or FLDCP members, with proof of active membership required. Logo designs of sponsors tend to feature on sports teams’ shirts.

Each team must consist of at least eight and no more than ten players, all of whom must be at least 16 years old. To ensure inclusivity, at least one female player must be on the field at all times. If a team does not meet this requirement, it will have to compete with one fewer player. Students wishing to participate must be sponsored by a team.

The 6th Annual Soccer Tournament & Networking Event will be on Saturday, March 29th from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM at Soccer Town in Pembroke Pines near Miramar.
