The organic grocery chain Sprouts will continue its expansion into Florida with a new location in Miramar opening this June.

Sprouts will include organic food ranging from trail mix and grains, to deli meats, seafood, and freshly baked goods. The store will also offer a prepared food bar for shoppers looking for a complete meal. Produce will be sourced from local farmers and growers, as this is a promise of increasing importance to grocery buyers. The store is looking to capitalize on the recent withdrawal of similar organic food chains like Lucky’s and Earth Fare, both of which closed all of their Florida stores last year.

The Miramar location will be Sprouts’ second in Broward County, after a Deerfield Beach store opened in 2019 as part of a South Florida expansion that also included two stores in Palm Beach County. The Phoenix-based chain currently operates over 340 stores in 23 states. New grocery stores often try to build up a customer base through the use of tools like flyer printing and Promotional Products. For instance, the Deerfield Beach sprouts held a grand opening where the first 100 customers were granted by celebrity chef Danny Seo, and received gift Bags worth $100.

Sprouts Farmers Market will open its Miramar location, at 12216 Miramar Parkway, on June 24. Opening day shoppers will receive a free reusable bag and can enter their name to win a $500 gift card.
