Organized by the Miramar public library, Multi-Holiday Crafts will be held in late December, with three different sessions for the general public.
Here, the general public will have an opportunity to participate in arts and crafts and listen to storytelling. From these activities, folks of all ages have the chance to learn about Hanukkah and Kwanzaa.
This first day features HO HO HO Crafts. At this event, everyone gets a chance to design and create Christmas cards for their friends and family – an activity that usually appeals to those with an interest in graphic design.
Later that day, participants will participate in Hanukkah Do It Yourself Crafts, where they will learn about the Jewish festival as they are guided through the activity.
In the last session of Multi-Holiday Crafts, Kwanzaa storytelling and crafts will be featured. These activities provide an opportunity to educate participants about Kwanzaa, the African heritage that is both celebrated and honored in the USA.
The location for Multi-Holiday Crafts is the Miramar Library at 2050 Civic Center Place in Miramar. HO HO HO Crafts will take place the first Saturday, December 21, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm and Hanukkah Do It Yourself Crafts will be held later that same day from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. Kwanzaa Story-telling and Crafts is scheduled for the following Saturday, December 28, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. Multi-Holiday Crafts is open to all ages, although available seating is limited.
