The Nazhi Thee Baker Foundation presents the 3rd staging of the annual Healthy Hearts Walk.
The Foundation was started by Nazhi Forrest, who was diagnosed with a rare sickle cell trait. Using the information on the many foods that could cause a painful sickle cell ailment, she started baking treats that anyone could enjoy. Money from the sale of her cakes and other baked items is used to buy presents for children who have sickle cell disease, and to raise awareness of the condition.
The mission of Healthy Hearts Walk is to inspire hope and bring awareness to Sickle Cell Anemia. Proceeds from the event will go towards care Bags for children in the hospital, as well as educational workshops.
Those interested can take part virtually or in person. Registration costs $25 for students and $35 for adults and volunteers. The live stream can be viewed on TFG365TV.com. Participants can also support the cause by taking a walk for 30 minutes every day and posting on social media with the #HEALTHHEARTSWALK. Each successful registrant will receive a commemorative T-shirt. Donations and sponsorship are welcomed.
Banner printing is a great way for organizers of fundraisers to provide information to participants.
Healthy Hearts Walk will take place on Saturday, September 10, from 7:00 am to 12:00 noon. It will be at 9400 Miramar Boulevard in Miramar, Florida 33025. Visit Nazhi Thee Baker’s website for more information on how to register.
