Miramar hosts fundraising event to support hair loss

The Women of Health Occupations Promoting Education (H.O.P.E.) and Paradise Spa Salon present the 6th annual Hair, Peace, and Hope 5K Run/Walk.

Women of H.O.P.E. is a non-profit organization that was created by Ms. Lori Allen Jones. She partnered with women in healthcare to promote healthier lifestyle practices for minorities.

The mission of the Hair, Peace, and Hope 5K Run/Walk is to support individuals who have suffered hair loss because of an autoimmune disease. They have provided support and resources, such as wig prostheses to affected applicants.

Those interested in participating can register online for $35. Net proceeds will go towards helping those who are suffering or have suffered from autoimmune diseases, such as lupus, alopecia, or connective tissue disease. Businesses that want to exhibit their product or service at the event can register for $100. There are also sponsorship opportunities available.
