The Sup Dawg Paddle is an opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts to include their four-legged friend in their adventures.
The event was designed to fulfill the wishes of people who felt their pets were missing out on activities they would enjoy. Everyone is welcome on the paddleboard and kayak adventure, even if they do not currently have a canine to bring along. Participants without a paddleboard or kayak can rent one at the shop.
Navigation lights are available for the boards because the event will last beyond sunset. It is not a requirement, but owners should bring along a dog lifejacket because only a small assortment of the safety items will be for sale at the event. All humans are expected to carry Bags in case their pets feel the “call of nature”, and all pets must be friendly with other humans and dogs as well as up-to-date on their vaccinations. Please bring drinking water for the dog as well.
Visitors are asked to bring along their own (waterproof) camera to document their pup’s adventure and keep local Print shops busy after the trip. The event is September 13th. Participants should be on site at the Sunrise Paddleboards shop at 2520 North Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale by 6:00 PM and the paddles hit the water at 6:30. The fee for the ride is $39.99 if renting a kayak or paddleboard and $10.99 if supplying own equipment. Tickets are available at the Eventbrite website.
