A major Miami-area music and cultural festival has been postponed, with plans potentially in the works to hold it at a later date.
The Jazz in the Gardens Music Fest takes place in Miami Gardens, Florida and looks to draw in music lovers from surrounding areas like Palm Beach and Miramar. Announced headliners for this year’s event include R&B legend Mary J. Blige, innovative hip-hop group The Roots, singer-songwriter H. E. R., and 2000s rap icon Nelly. The concert began in 2016 and has since become a fixture in south Florida’s busy music scene.
The live music is preceded by two days of cultural events, including Poetry in the Gardens, featuring a competition between slam poetry and spoken word performers; a Women’s Impact Luncheon, which is “designed to inspire women to live centered, active, fulfilled and balanced lives”; and a Friday night dance party featuring local DJs. Festivals like this, often advertised through poster printing and banner printing, are popular as a way to see several high-profile musical acts for the price of a single ticket.
Jazz in the Gardens was originally set for the weekend of March 14 and 15 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, with the cultural events taking place on the two days before. Information about a rescheduled date will be released via the festival website. Ticketholders for the original date can obtain refunds through Ticketmaster or the Hard Rock Box Office website.
