Jamaican fundraising takes place in Miramar

May in Miramar is set for a Caribbean flavor with the Jamaica Hi-5K Run and Walk fundraiser.

This event promises a combination of reggae music, food, and fun. Spearheaded by Oliver Mair, Jamaica’s Consul General to the Southeast USA, it serves as the main funding source for the Adopt-A-Clinic program, which is used to bolster Jamaican health clinics.

The Jamaica Hi-5K Run and Walk has swiftly emerged as one of the main events promoting wellness and health within the Caribbean region. The race will offer participants an opportunity to engage in a spirited journey through Miramar Regional Park.

Following the race, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, attendees will be able to revel in a vibrant post-race celebration. This celebration will feature an array of reggae music, Jamaican foods, and a plethora of entertainment options.

Ticket prices vary according to the registration timeline. Ticket prices for general registration will be $35 if bought before May 4, $40 between May 5 and May 10, and $45 on the day of the race.

For inquiries regarding the event, interested individuals can obtain information by contacting the race organizers through the RunSignup listing. Banner printing can be a great way for the organizers to mark the finish lines at events like this one.
