Independence day celebration comes to Miramar

An Independence Day festival celebrating Panama is set to take place this November in Miramar.

The event has been titled the ´Panamanian Independence Day Celebration´. It seeks to immerse the residents of Miramar in an all-inclusive experience of Panamanian traditions through food, music, dance, and folklore. Panama is considered diverse for its mix of cultural traditions from Europeans, Caribbean ethnicities, and their native Amerindian populations. This melting poot has evolved to create distinct clothing, food and musical styles that can be recognized throughout the world today.

Attendees will have the opportunity to experience this at the festival. It will feature live music, traditional dances, authentic Panamanian cuisine, and a showcase of talented artisans. Entertainment will be provided by the Gaitanes, La Kshamba and DJ Panama 305. Gaitanes is a producer and composer duo formed and consisting of Ricardo and Alberto Gaitan. The group has been operational since 1985 and have become a staple in the Panamanian music scene. La Kshamba will offer the traditional Latin-style rumba rhythm, while DJ Panama 305 offers a mix of traditional and modern musical styles.

Banner printing can be a great way to showcase different areas at cultural events such as this.

The event will be free for all to attend, and will take place on November 3 at the Miramar City Hall Plaza. This is located at 2300 Civic Center Place, Miramar, Florida. It begins at 6pm and ends at 10pm.
