The Great Catsby celebration is taking place next month. It is both a fundraiser for the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens, and a celebration of the 40th anniversary of its opening.
The event is hosted by Black Tie on the Wild Side and, while guests do not have to dress up in black tie, they are encouraged to wear their best. The evening will start off with a one-hour cocktail reception where guests can mingle and get to know some of the employees of the zoo. It will be followed by dinner, dancing, and an auction. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet some of the animals that call the zoo home.
Sponsorships are also available for local individuals and businesses, starting at $3,500
The funds raised at this event will go towards initiatives of the zoo, including summer camps and educational programs.
The zoo attracts visitors from all around the area, including nearby Longwood. It is likely that this event will be advertised widely, and this may involve purchasing services such as flyer printing from local companies.
