The police and fire departments of Longwood will be playing a kickball game to celebrate National Night Out.
The community is invited to the Candyland Sports Complex in Longwood to watch the Annual Police vs. Fire Kickball game. The goal of the event is to enhance the relationships between members of law enforcement agencies and the community by creating a positive experience for all participants. Information about the Neighborhood Watch will also be posted at the game to educate locals on how they can help create safer communities.
Many other activities will be held during the evening to celebrate National Night Out. All guests will get a free meal consisting of a hot dog, side, and beverage. Children may play in the on-site bounce houses and partake in the Child ID program. There will be displays from the police and fire departments, and vendors will showcase their wares at the event. Free giveaways will also be available for attendees, and visitors can participate in a raffle.
The community’s night out and kickball game will be held on Tuesday, October 4 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. No registration is required to attend the National Night Out. Companies may sponsor the event for packages ranging from $100, to $300, to $500. Benefits of becoming a sponsor include stores getting social media recognition and being added to the event’s Signs and other banner printing orders.
