The Sunshine State Secular Homeschoolers will organize a dance for students in September at the Longwood Community Building.
The Fall Ball is a themed dance where homeschooled teens and pre-teens can socialize while enjoying music and games. Attendees are allowed to dress up in costumes, cosplays, and formal attire. Students will get to participate in a best-dressed contest and dancing contest while at the party. Those with last names starting with A to G must bring sweet snacks, while kids whose last names begin with H to N must bring salty snacks. Anyone with a last name starting with O to Z will be responsible for bringing sharable drinks.
The Sunshine State Secular Homeschoolers is a group that formed in 2017 to help homeschooled students socialize through in-person events and online conversations. Several counties are involved with the organization, such as Orange County, Volusia County, and Seminole County. Past events organized by the homeschoolers group include the Not Back to School Teen Dance and Epic Teen Dance.
Organizations in charge of dances for students like this may use flyer printing to promote the activity at venues such as recreation centers.
The ball will be held on Thursday, September 22nd from 5:30 pm to 9:15 pm. Tickets will cost $15 for students and their chaperoning parents. No teens will be allowed to leave the venue without an adult. Those who buy tickets at the door must pay $25.
