The 4th annual Central Florida's BBQ Blowout is taking place next month over two days.
Proceeds from the event will go to support the Oviedo - Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce and Helpful Hands, Inc.
This event is sanctioned by the Florida BBQ Association and the overall winner will qualify for the World Food Championships.
A total of 80 teams will be competing this year, made up of both professional and backyard teams. There will be cash prizes and trophies to be won, including the People's Choice award. The public can purchase samples with BBQ Bucks that cost $1 each.
There will be plenty of activities too, including a Kids Zone with water rides, bounce houses, and games. Unlimited rides will cost $5. There will also be musical entertainment from acts such as the Bailey Callahan Band, Michael Shivers, and the Eli Mosley Band. In addition, vendors are set to be on hand to sell a variety of merchandise.
Barbecue fans from all over, including nearby Longwood, will want to know about this event. To help spread the word, organizers may have invested in Flyers.
