The Schwartz Tech Awards are being held at a reception this September in Orlando. The event is a presentation by the Metro Orlando Economic Development Corporation.
The emcee for the evening will be Jorge Estevez. Guests will enjoy a cash bar while they celebrate those businesses in the community that have made an impact on technology. Nominees were chosen by the public.
The awards, the winners who will be announced during the evening, are Regional Innovator (one each from Orange, Seminole, Lake and Osceola Counties and the City of Orlando), Researcher (both academic and industry), Diversity in Tech, Tech Investor, and Tech Community Champion. In addition, there will also be two awards given to student entrepreneurs who won contests from the Florida High Tech Corridor Council.
This will also be a very good networking event for businesspersons from local cities such as Longwood. To ensure that they have enough Business Cards to exchange with their peers, some of those attending will probably be placing a new business card printing order.
The Schwartz Tech Awards take place at the Orchard Garden at Church Street Station on September 30 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Tickets are $35 each, which includes two free drinks.
