Tis the season at the Museum of Art

The Orlando Museum of Art is all set to kick off the Christmas season with its premier holiday event, known as the Annual Festival of Trees.

This year will be the Pearl anniversary of the nine-day, holiday event, and Council 101 will be presenting it to the benefit of the museum.

The museum halls will be decked for the holiday festivity. The main attractions of the event will be gingerbread creations, holiday vignettes in full scale, and a collection of trees that have all been decorated by designers of the immediate vicinity. There will be a separate area where smaller trees and decorated wreaths will be on display. Organizers of the event might benefit from Banners that aid in showcasing the displays.

There will be other attractions and activities in which visitors might participate. Central Florida artists’ works will be on display, and the displays will all be available for purchase. There will be activities designed for children in which they can make crafts, play games, or send mail to Santa, who will also make several appearances throughout the event.

Holiday gifts and accessories can be purchased at the Holiday Boutique, and food can be bought at the Festival Café. There will also be choir performances and other events.

It gets underway tomorrow (November 12) and runs until November 20 at the Orlando Museum of Art, located 14 miles south of Longwood.
