October luncheon honors the best in area tourism

The Orlando North Seminole County’s annual Tourism Luncheon is taking place next month, presented in association with the Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association (CFHLA).

Those who wish to attend must contact the organization with a request to be invited. This is one of the most important events in the local tourism industry and is an opportunity for networking, so there will be a chance for attendees to meet with their peers and exchange Business Cards during registration.

Next, lunch will be served to be followed by a review of the year in tourism. The event will finish with the presentation of various awards to those who have gone beyond the call of duty.

Another important part of the luncheon will be the collection drive to help homeless students in Seminole County. Run by CFHLA Cares, it will be collecting such items as toiletries, clothing, and schools supplies such as Notebooks, Backpacks, and Pens.

To ensure they will make new connections, many of those attending from surrounding communities such as Longwood will probably be placing a new order for custom business cards.

The Tourism Luncheon will be held at the Orlando Marriott Lake Mary on October 12 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Contact Jennifer Durr from the CFHLA at 407-665-2900 for more information and for ticket prices.
