The organization Heroes Strong will be holding a celebration this November in Longwood to show community heroes some gratitude for their contributions.
The 2020 Thank You Heroes Community Ceremony is an event where people can share their appreciation for vital members of the community. The multiday celebration will be honoring firefighters, law enforcers, military members, educators, and those working in healthcare. All ages are welcomed at the ceremony. People who attend the event are encouraged to wear green as a way of honoring the featured heroes.
In addition to the ceremony, Heroes Strong will also have other activities that allow the community to interact with the local heroes. There will be a chance to meet with these notable people face-to-face at the start of the celebration, and the heroes will be competing in a kickball tournament at Wekiva Hills Park. Community functions similar to this can use flyer printing to tell people about the event and encourage participation.
The meet and greet with the heroes will be held on November 13, while the kickball tournament will take place on November 14. The main ceremony will occur on November 15 at Reiter Park.
