Longwood will be holding a car show and fundraiser in September to assist the Sharing Center organization.
The Ultimate Car Show is a community competition where people show off their vehicles for a chance to win cash prizes. There are five themed Car Pavilions eventgoers can visit to view the submitted automobiles, including The Everyday Car, Classic Cars, and Sport & Exotic Cars. The fest will also have a farmers’ market, beer garden, gourmet food trucks, and live music. Attendees can also receive goodie Bags for attending the ultimate show.
The Sharing Center is a group located in Longwood’s Live United Village that helps combat homelessness by offering dignified solutions to the issue. The organization provides financial assistance, vouchers for clothing, and free food assistance to those in need. The group also constructed a facility called The Oasis to give homeless people showers, haircuts, and internet access. Past events from the charity include the Good Samaritan Welcome Tour and family fun nights.
The car show will take place at Reiter Park on September 24 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. People can view the vehicles for free, though participants in the contest need to pay $35 to enter. The fees are reduced for those who register before the event date. Organizations that plan fundraisers like this may include promotional Pens in their goodie bags to raise their brand awareness.
