Longwood to host Truck or Treat event

Families are invited to Reiter Park in Longwood this October to participate in the city’s annual Truck or Treat celebration.

Truck or Treat is an event where children can go trick or treating through a series of parked vehicles before it gets dark. All kids who attend the event will be given free candy. There will be plenty of activities for children at the event, such as face painting, various games, and bounce houses. Guests can also purchase meals from the onsite food vendors attending Truck or Treat.

A pumpkin-carving competition will be held during the festival where all ages are allowed to compete, in addition to a children’s only costume contest for kids who are aged 12 and below. Families can enjoy taking hayrides through the park during the event. Organizations that host community festivals such as this can use flyer printing to create advertisements that get people interested in attending.

Truck or Treat will occur on October 19, from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The festival is free for the community, and no prior registration is required to join. Parking for the event will be available at South Seminole Hospital’s back parking lot. Anyone interested in competing in the pumpkin carving contest must submit their entry by 3:30 pm. Those who would like to hand out candy or sponsor the event can contact the organizer in advance.
