Longwood to host mini Star Wars convention

The Acme Superstore in Longwood will be hosting a small convention in July for Star Wars collectors.

The Star Wars Collectors Mini Toy Con is an event co-hosted by Florida Toy Shows & Expos and the Acme Superstore. There will be over 20 vendors outside the shop selling items such as vintage playsets, memorabilia, and exclusive art prints. Attendees will have opportunities to take pictures with cosplayers, and contests will be held during the experience. The venue will also be giving discounts during the convention.

The Acme Superstore has operated for over 40 years and offers collectibles like comics and toys. The store hosts several monthly events, including celebrity autograph sessions, drawing lessons, and trivia nights. It also organizes holiday-themed activities for Halloween and Christmas. Florida Toy Shows & Expos hosts various themed conventions in cities like Largo, Tampa, and Kissimmee. Organizations that set up activities similar to this can use poster printing to locally advertise their events.

The mini convention will be held on Sunday, July 11 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. There is no price to enter the expo, and reservations are not necessary. The event will take place in the Danger Room at the Acme Superstore. Those interested in other special activities held at the store can see future events on its Facebook page.
