Reiter Park in Longwood will be hosting the Young & The Breathless 5K Fun Run this February to support the community.
The Young & The Breathless 5K Fun Run is an event where guests can walk, crawl, or run to the finish line. The activity is a fun, competitive event that rewards the top three finishers from male and female age groups with prizes. Runners who participate will be given a race medal, t-shirt, and timed chip. The racecourse is also sanctioned by USA Track & Field. Participants can pick up their packets at Front Running Sports.
The event will be donating a portion of the money raised towards supporting Disaster Relief and developing future community leaders. Many vendors and food trucks will be attending the run for participants and families can visit. Organizations that have booths at athletic events like this can bring Promotional Products to hand out to eventgoers.
Those who are interested in the run can pay $30 before February 21 to become a participant. Ticket prices will increase after this date.
The event will be held on February 22 and the South Seminole Hospital parking lot across from Reiter Park will be available for use. Registration will be opened at 6:30 am, and the race will start at 7:30 am. Runners must register by Friday, January 31 to ensure they receive the right T-shirt size.
