Longwood seminar to teach self-awareness

The Employers Association Forum will be giving a presentation at its Longwood facility in June on improving self-awareness.

How Self-Aware Are You? is a program that teaches business leaders about the importance of self-awareness and how it impacts communication between managers and employees. The workshop offers students an interactive experience and will use The Predictive Index® behavioral assessment to gauge their behavior strengths. The topics attendees will learn about include best practices for team interactions and self-coaching opportunities.

The leader of the workshop is Dolly Penland, who is a professional trainer and consultant from Jacksonville. She has been the president and CEO of the consulting firm Business Results for four years and was the executive business adviser at Predictive Results for six years. Penland also has experience as a program manager, freelance journalist, and producer. She is in several groups, including the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce and Business Professional Women Tallahassee.

The self-awareness workshop will take place on Friday, June 10th from 9:00 am to noon. Guests who are members of the Employers Association Forum can attend for $125, while non-members must pay $175. Associations similar to this may share their upcoming presentations with local professionals by using flyer printing. Those who complete the forum's workshop will be eligible for three credits from the Society for Human Resources Management and HR Certification Institute.
